In the midst of a crazy heatwave this summer, Emy and Nick's wedding took place on a mercifully temperate and overcast day at the lovely Rock Creek Country Club. There were even a few rain drops (classic Portland) which is said to bring good luck on a wedding day!
Nick's wedding band is inscribed with their names and wedding date.
Emy and Nick met playing softball on a team where drinking beer was maybe slightly more important than getting a run...;) The two were friends for years before it became clear how perfectly fit they are for each other. They share a love of gardening, their adorable dog Millie, playing board games, sports, and a good old fashioned competition... Their wedding perfectly fit their fun-loving personalities; there was an abundance of fun, dancing, and lots of merriment!
The Bride's side paid the price for losing a croquet tournament the night before at the rehearsal dinner by performing the Chicken Dance at the reception!
Emy and Nick, thank you so much! Celebrating your beautiful day surrounded by the love and support of so many of your close friends and family made me realize the love you share is a pretty magical thing. Your warmth, kindness and hilarious spirits make people feel so much joy and comfort! I'm so glad to know you and love you both. Thank you for allowing me to document your wedding day!
